LUNCH TIME AT THE TULLOCK HOME

JULY 21, 2009

This past Sunday was out second lunch without the Brown family at our home. For all those who don't know, its been a tradition now for sometime that the Tullocks, Browns, and Harris gather for lunch on Sunday afternoons. We would alternate Sundays and this would give each one of us a chance to have a Sunday dinner at some one's home without the hassle of cooking. Now it did not happen every Sunday only when we were all available. And sometimes we opted to go out instead of cooking but it was always an enjoyable event and a good time of fellowship. This has been the second Sunday that we have missed the presence of the Brown family.

We also welcomed home Rachael this past Saturday from camp (I'll blog about tomorrow) but Rachael was more interested in playing with Claire. She captured some very cute pictures. She loves when Claire comes to visit!

She loves to climb our stairs!

How Sweet!

Posing for the camera!

On the menu today was meatloaf, chicken & dumplings, squash casserole, corn, toss salad, cantaloupe, creamed potatoes, bread, and almond pound cake with strawberries and lite cool whip. As Claire would say, "yum, yum!

Claire loves Cool Whip!

It was a wonderful Sunday lunch with good friends but we miss our friends in Asheville too! Jon, Yuri, Mckinley, Seth, and Wilson. We can't wait until you visit again and stay for Sunday Lunch!

  1. Claire is such a ham! Lunch was delicious! I really enjoyed the fresh vegetables, it does not get any better than your squash casserole.

I don't think the Browns will find any friends in Asheville that can cook as good as you do!

  2. That looks like a good time. In some of those pictures, I almost didn't recognize Claire without her "trademark" bow! She honestly almost looked like a different girl! :-)

The meal sounds like it was very delicious.

  3. It is so different here on Sunday's! Two of the churches we have visited have had lunch on the ground the day we visited. The boys didn't feel comfortable staying so we have just eaten out. We do miss your cooking and are looking forward to it again when we come in for a visit. We love the fellowship except the harrassment we sometimes experience from the one we call "Pastor"! We love you guys and miss you greatly!!!
