Catching up with some short post. Wanted to get these pictures on my blog from our recent trip to Asheville. We went with friends and saw MercyMe Concert at the Biltmore House. It was very nice and we enjoyed our time staying at the "Brown Inn."
We had a great weekend and some of the pictures are posted on our facebook page so be sure to check them out. Here are some of the pictures as we were leaving to come home.

GOOD NEIGHBORS!
July 20, 2009
This past weekend, we received a special act of kindness. Our neighbors, Brian and Andrea Sizemore, along with their two children, Tanner and Alex, came to our home to help "dig" potatoes.
This was the first year that Jimmy attempted to plant potatoes. (We are still learning about farming.) He only planted 3 rows so we could see how things went and make a decision on whether or not we would do it again next year. I happy to report that we yielded lots of potatoes. Enough to keep us from buying them for the rest of the year.
Alex and Tanner had their special buckets and went to work. They were so cute and hard workers! Tanner seemed determined to find lots of potatoes. Alex dug potatoes but enjoyed squishing her feet in the mud as well!
Brian and Andrea are pros at digging potatoes and taught us a lot this year!

Brian was nice enough to bring the a turn plow (did I say that correctly?) and he and Jimmy went to work turning the potatoes again to see if we could fine more!
Afterwards, we treated our help to soda and cookies! Andrea, I hope we paid our help enough so they will want to come dig potatoes next year! Yes, we will plant again!

CELEBRATING MY SWEETIE'S BIRTHDAY!
JULY 20, 2009
Due to all the recent activities, we were unable to celebrate my sweetie's birthday last Sunday, so on Thursday the 16th, I took him out for his birthday. Rachael was away at camp so we had a "date night."
Jimmy wanted to see the second Transformers movie, so on Thursday, I took him to the movie for his belated birthday present. We enjoyed our evening out but we learned a lesson when it comes to picking movies. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE you review the ratings well. This is not a movie we would recommend to anyone and we were very "shocked" at the language content. Jimmy was very disappointed in the movie in comparison to the first movie which he enjoyed. I personally, did not care for either one of them.
However, we did enjoy our time together and he enjoyed his day of celebration with a "date night" with his wife!

LUNCH TIME AT THE TULLOCK HOME
JULY 21, 2009
This past Sunday was out second lunch without the Brown family at our home. For all those who don't know, its been a tradition now for sometime that the Tullocks, Browns, and Harris gather for lunch on Sunday afternoons. We would alternate Sundays and this would give each one of us a chance to have a Sunday dinner at some one's home without the hassle of cooking. Now it did not happen every Sunday only when we were all available. And sometimes we opted to go out instead of cooking but it was always an enjoyable event and a good time of fellowship. This has been the second Sunday that we have missed the presence of the Brown family.
We also welcomed home Rachael this past Saturday from camp (I'll blog about tomorrow) but Rachael was more interested in playing with Claire. She captured some very cute pictures. She loves when Claire comes to visit!

On the menu today was meatloaf, chicken & dumplings, squash casserole, corn, toss salad, cantaloupe, creamed potatoes, bread, and almond pound cake with strawberries and lite cool whip. As Claire would say, "yum, yum!
It was a wonderful Sunday lunch with good friends but we miss our friends in Asheville too! Jon, Yuri, Mckinley, Seth, and Wilson. We can't wait until you visit again and stay for Sunday Lunch!

A WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE!
JULY 17, 2009
I was sent this very cute email by a close friend at work and thought I would share it with the rest of you. As I read each of these, I found most of them to be true (even when I don't want to admit it!)
Hope you enjoy a good laugh and if your husbands can take a good dose of reality, they will thank you for it. (It might help them avoid future arguments)

9 WORDS WOMEN USE
- FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
- FIVE MINUTES: If she is getting dressed, this means half an hour. Five minutes is only Five minutes if she needs you to finish getting dressed.
- NOTHING: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
- GO AHEAD: This is a dare, not permission. DON'T DO IT!!
- LOUD SIGH: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here arguing about nothing. (refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing)
- THAT'S OKAY: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
- THANKS: If a woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. If she saids, "Thanks A Lot"- that is PURE SARCASM and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say you're welcome-that will bring a response of whatever.
- WHATEVER: It is a woman's way of saying "Shut Up!"
- DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT, I GOT IT: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, "what's wrong?" For the woman's response, refer to #3.
Hope you enjoyed a good laugh. Will post again soon!
